Who Should Attend

The beginner workshop is ideal for those who are just starting our in photography and need to understand the fundamentals better. It’s also perfect for parents who have a digital SLR camera but don’t know how to take it off automatic to capture more creative images of their kids or hobbyists just looking to take better pictures.

Disclaimer:: Kim and Jennifer both own and shoot high end Canon cameras, therefore it’s important to understand that ALL digital cameras are different and will have buttons and functions in different locations. No two models are exactly alike, even between the same manufacturer, and all cameras may therefore differ in how the settings are adjusted. Jennifer and Kim will spend time with each attendee to better learn their camera, but it’s imperative to know that it make take a few moments to also locate how to adjust your settings because of these facts. We highly recommend attendees read their manual before attending so that you at least know where your aperture (also known as f-stop), shutter speed and ISO buttons are, but we can also help you find those and will work to help you understand their functions better. This workshop is not designed to train you to use a particular camera, but to help you better understand the fundamentals of photography so that you can adjust your own camera accordingly.
